WHAT IS DISCOUNT MARKET RENT?
Wembley Park Residential, a subsidiary of Quintain the developer transforming Wembley Park, are pleased to offer Discount Market Rent apartments to applicants who are able to meet the required eligibility criteria.
Discount Market Rent (DMR) offers housing for the rental market. It allows Build To Rent developers to offer apartments for rent at a discount to the market price. The rents are discounted by 20% of the open market rent.
Eligibility to rent a DMR apartment is specific with the two main criteria:
- An annual household income of less than £90,000*
- Demonstrate ability to pay the stated rent and provide a deposit in line with standard Assured Shorthold Tenancy rates.
- To demonstrate the ability to pay the household income must exceed 30 times the monthly rent per annum e.g.1 Bedroom average rent £1535 x 30 = £46,050 / 2 Bedroom average rent £1900 x 30 = £57,000
